Thunderstorms have caused flights to be delayed and knocked out power in some parts of Massachusetts.
A flood warning was issued by the National Weather Service for the areas of Springfield, Clinton, Boston and Northborough July 18, and a flash flood warning in Worcester. All warnings were lifted as of 7 p.m. yesterday.
Officials say one fire burned in a garage caused by a lightning strike in Sterling. No injuries were reported.
Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency says more than 3,000 electricity customers lost power statewide at one point during the storm.
Floods were reported on many streets in Worcester and Oxford. Some towns, like North Grafton, received more than three inches of rain.
More than 200 flights at Logan Airport were cancelled, and 23% were delayed, according to flight-tracking service FlightAware.
