Cooley is expanding its global insurance and insurtech leadership with the election of Heidi Lawson to the partnership.
Based in Boston, Mass., Lawson arrived at Cooley in April as of counsel. Formerly an insurance partner and co-chair of the insurance, reinsurance, investigations and risk management practice at Mintz Levin, she moved to Cooley with special counsel Greg Hoffnagle.
Lawson is an insurance lawyer with experience in international business. She partners with clients to identify ways to advance their business objectives, leading global insurers, capital providers, insurtech innovators, brokers, businesses and sports franchises through insurance product innovation, coverage dispute resolution, strategic policy creation and investigation management.
Cooley has more than 900 lawyers across 13 offices in the U.S., China and Europe.
