Saxe Doernberger & Vita, P.C. (SDV) has named Theresa A. Guertin as managing partner of SDV’s Northeast office, effective January 1, 2020.
Guertin has an active litigation practice, and she is co-chair of the firm’s Risk Transfer group. She represents clients in claims for coverage in an array of matters which include property damage and bodily injury related to mold and asbestos, directors & officers and professional liability claims, employment disputes, and construction defects.
She has experience in developing and rewriting insurance procurement language to meet the changing demands of the insurance and construction industries. She works directly with contractors and broker clients to identify potential deficiencies in policies before they are issued and assists in the negotiation of more favorable terms at policy renewal.
SDV represents policyholders in insurance coverage disputes. Its clients range from individuals to international corporations and reach across all industries.
