Keller, Lynn Join MEMIC Express Team

E.K. Keller

MEMIC, headquartered in Portland, Maine, hired E.K. Keller as express business segment leader in the Eastern region and Keith Lynn as production underwriter in the company’s Southeast territory.

Keller began his insurance career in 2007 as a claims adjuster and transitioned into commercial underwriting in 2015 with Travelers. While at Travelers, he moved into leadership in 2018, working in small business and middle market in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast.

Lynn joined Travelers in 2014 in the claims department before transitioning to account manager and eventually underwriter for commercial accounts in the Southeast territory: Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi.

Berisha, Vandermyde Join Rokstone North American Marine Operation

Rokstone, the Aventum Group’s international (Re)insurance managing general agency headquartered in London, appointed Alex Berisha head of U.S. marine cargo and Derek Vandermyde as underwriting manager, inland marine, both based in New York, N.Y.

Berisha joins from Liberty Mutual where he was vice president, U.S. Marine Cargo manager for 17 years.

Vandermyde joins Rokstone from Starr Insurance, where he was senior underwriter for inland marine. Before that, he spent five years at Lexington Insurance as senior underwriter.

Rossi Becomes Flood Insurance Committee Chair

Joe Rossi has become The Flood Insurance Producers National Committee (FIPNC) chair representing the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers Association (IIABA). FIPNC provides the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) with product and marketing expertise and also provides professional advice and counsel on all issues related to producers’ involvement in the NFIP.

Rossi is the president and CEO of Joe Flood Insurance Brokerage, Inc., in Carver, Massachusetts, and executive director of the Massachusetts Coastal Coalition. He remains chair of FIPNC until November of 2025, when the Professional Insurance Association takes the chairmanship.
