Medical malpractice insurer EmPRO Insurance Co. has opened its first office in Massachusetts. The new Boston office marks EmPRO’s further expansion into the New England market, following prior entries into New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.
To support its expansion, the company has brought on three industry veterans. Michael Miller, EmPRO’s newly appointed vice president of underwriting, will lead the Boston office and be joined by Michael Kubik, vice president of business development, and Brian Kriger, vice president of underwriting.
Miller joins EmPRO after a tenure at Boston-based Coverys, where he served as vice president of underwriting. In his new role, Miller will spearhead the company’s Massachusetts operations, leveraging his experience and local market knowledge. He will also drive business growth in Connecticut while actively seeking opportunities to expand into other New England markets.
Kubik brings 30 years of industry experience in marketing and new business development at both national and regional levels, having worked with MDAdvantage, Gallagher Bassett, and Coverys.
Kriger has 20 years of expertise in medical professional liability underwriting. Before joining EmPRO, he spent 17 years at MDAdvantage.
A subsidiary of Physicians’ Reciprocal Insurers, EmPRO is managed by PRIMMA LLC, PRI’s wholly owned attorney-in-fact.
