InsWeb Marketplace Debuts in Japan Through a joint venture with SOFTBANK Finance Corp., InsWeb has launched an online marketplace for consumers in Japan at www.insweb.co.jp.
The new site features five leading auto insurers competing in the world’s second-largest insurance market. The online marketplace enables consumers to comparison shop for auto-insurance coverage and access a range of interactive tools and information on Japanese insurance matters.
Earlier this week, InsWeb began using an online technology in California where consumers could purchase insurance online and print out proof of insurance forms. InsWeb plans to extend this technology across the nation.
