Travelers Insurance, a unit of Citigroup, announced that it was setting up an “International Insurance Division and the appointment of Robert J. Price (49) as its president and CEO.”
Commenting on the news, Travelers Chairman and CEO Jay S. Fishman stated, “This division will lead our accelerating efforts to develop strategic investments, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions opportunities, in targeted locations around the world for the Travelers Insurance operations, including both the property casualty and life and annuity.”
Price is leaving his present post as Sr. V.P. and CFO of Aetna International to join Travelers, where he will be responsible for “cultivating opportunities and managing the resulting operational aspects of these relationships in their initial stages,” according to Fishman.
