American International Group and the European insurance consortium Eureko Alliance have agreed to form a cooperative venture to market and service multinational employee benefits programs worldwide.
They plan to establish a joint office in Zurich, Switzerland, and will establish joint distribution outlets and share administrative services. AIG’s Gregory Arms said it would enable the company to extend its global benefits network to over 100 countries.
The Eureko Alliance, which also includes EurAPCo, is composed of insurers from the Netherlands, the U.K., France, Portugal, Sweden, Germany, Denmark and Switzerland, who remain independent, but work through Eureko on projects and alliances involving international development.
Albert Lauper, Chairman of EurAPCo, the company in charge of joint activities within the Eureko Alliance, noted that “Together we will not only have the largest pooling network in the world but we will also be the only one with a pre-eminent market position in Europe, The United States and Asia.”|”aig,, eureko, ally, offer, multinational, employee, benefits
