Zurich Global Energy® announced that Derek Ratteray has been appointed as Sr. VP of its International Casualty unit, based in Pembroke, Bermuda, effective February 1.
“Ratteray will be responsible for providing non-U.S. clients with both traditional and innovative casualty concepts and total risk solutions, including general liability, pollution liability, and umbrella and excess liability coverages, and will manage various product and service initiatives as well as underwriting guidelines,” said the announcement.
Ratteray joined Zurich Global Energy last year as Bermuda Casualty Branch manager. He was a VP with XL Capital in Bermuda for 5 years prior to joining Zurich, responsible for the casualty team writing Energy, Chemicals, Health Care and Consumer Products business for XL Insurance Ltd.
