LOMA announced that, due to the SARS outbreak, it has rescheduled its Third International Underwriting Congress (IUC) for November 9-12, 2003, at the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore.
“We regret the inconvenience postponement, due to unfortunate circumstances beyond anyone’s control, may have caused. We deeply appreciate the overwhelming message of support and understanding we have received from so many delegates, speakers and sponsors,” stated Thomas P. Donaldson, LOMA President and CEO.
The announcement indicated that “More than 400 people were signed up for the conference originally scheduled in March.” LOMA said it had offered full refunds or allowed people to transfer registrations toward the new date.
