The ACE European Group announced that it has promoted Wayne Harrington to UK & Ireland Manager, Environmental Risk and Iain Harrison as Environmental Risk Underwriter, as part of its ongoing strategy to grow its environmental liability business and further support brokers in the market.
Harrington will be responsible for providing strategic underwriting direction for the environmental risk business across the UK and Ireland, including product innovation and distribution development.
He launched ACE’s Environmental Risk unit in 2005 with Karl Russek, who has taken on a Global role as Senior Vice President, Environmental Risk for ACE Overseas General. Harrington joined ACE in October 2004 as Vice President in the Financial Solutions International unit and was previously with Marsh Limited.
Harrison brings a wealth of environmental expertise. He joined ACE from Mott MacDonald Ltd’s environmental consultancy team, specializing primarily in contaminated land, industrial permitting and environmental impact assessment. He has a degree in Environmental Science and a Masters degree in Environmental Law.
