Zurich Financial Services has announced that Robert Landry will retire as head of its Canadian operations at the end of the year. Alister Campbell, previously Senior Vice President at ING, has been tapped to succeed Landry as Chief Agent and CEO for Zurich Insurance Company in Canada, subject to board and regulatory approval.
“Canada remains an important market to Zurich as we continue to focus on delivering more of what our customers and producers really value – a broad range of products and services to suit their specific and ever-changing risk management needs,” noted Steve Rand, head of Zurich’s Commercial Markets unit. “I have great confidence that the Canadian business will continue to grow and operate successfully under Alister’s leadership.”
Axel Lehmann, CEO of Zurich North America Commercial, expressed his thanks to Landry “for his many years of dedicated service to Zurich,” and wished him “a long and rewarding retirement.”
