Aon Corp. has appointed Damien Guermonprez as chief executive officer of Aon France.
He replaces Vincent Redier, who will continue to serve as executive chairman of Aon France, member of the executive board of Aon Risk Services (ARS), and chairman of Aon Re Europe-Middle East-Africa.
Guermonprez joins Aon on September 1 and will be a member of the ARS executive board.
Guermonprez, 45, joins Aon from Banque Accord, where he has served since 1999 as chief executive officer of the consumer credit card and e-banking subsidiary of Auchan Group, one of the world’s largest retailers. During his tenure, Banque Accord launched operations in 10 additional countries including Russia and China, and increased its size five times.
From 1995 to 1999 Guermonprez was director of Financial Services, Case Europe and managing director and founder of Case Credit Europe, a European sales financing group. He also has held senior positions with Renault Credit International and with 3 Suisses International in Belgium.
