Willis Group Holdings has announced the appointment of Vince McGeehan as Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Willis Bermuda, effective immediately. He is responsible for the company’s insurance broking operations in Bermuda.
He previously served as Senior Vice President, Casualty, for ACE Bermuda, the Bermuda-based division of the ACE Group of Companies. Prior to joining ACE in 2000, he was Executive Vice President of Aon Bermuda for six years and before that, President and CEO of Aon Financial Services in New York for seven years. McGeehan also held various positions at Aon subsidiaries, including National Sales Manager for Scarborough & Co. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from La Salle University in Philadelphia.
“McGeehan brings 35 years of experience to his new role with Willis,” said the announcement. Jonathon Atkinson, CEO, Willis North America – Bermuda and London noted his “extensive experience in the Bermudan and U.S. markets,” and “underscores our ongoing commitment to Bermuda as an important hub for Willis.”
