1909 New Graduates Start at Lloyd’s

September 22, 2009

Lloyd’s has welcomed its newest group of graduate students. The latest batch of successful applicants to work in at One Lime Street “will start an 18-month rotation that will see them working in three six-month placements, one of them in the market,” said the bulletin.

“We had our induction week last week and it’s been eye opening to actually see how much Lloyd’s covers,” commented Alexandra Vincenti who studied Politics & International Relations at the London School of Economics. “It’s great that we’ve been given the choice of where to start our placement as it means I’ve been able to join the Government Affairs team, an area related to previous work experience I’ve done.”

The scheme, which was launched in 2007, has seen registration increase from 1,500 to 3,000 for this year. This is Lloyd’s second group of graduates since launching the program in 2007, with the first graduates now entering their final six-month placement.

Suzy Black, Head of Human Resources, commented: “We are very excited to welcome our new graduates on board. We have a great program and I’m sure they will find it both stimulating and challenging. We look forward to working with the graduates and supporting them in developing their careers at Lloyd’s.”

Recruitment begins today for the 2010 intake and is open for applications until January 2010. The graduate website for next year’s applicants can be accessed at: www.lloyds.com/gradspr
