Lockton has promoted Peter Hall to the role of Managing Director of its 16-strong Cargo practice. His appointment “is recognition of his 20 years’ experience servicing clients in the global cargo insurance market, for the most part as a broker with Lockton” said the bulletin.
Hall’s priority as new MD will be to continue to develop niche products and specialized coverage “that meet the insurance needs of clients while focusing on key sectors such as energy cargo in the US.”
Lockton Global Risks Chairman Paul Jack noted that Hall is a “highly respected cargo specialist,” who “values and nurtures each of our client and carrier relationships.” He also noted the new managing director’s “highest standards of excellence,” and indicated that he would be leading a “very strong team here at Lockton and one of his first priorities will be to enhance that team’s capabilities by bringing on board additional talent that can help us to achieve our expansion plans and open up new markets.”
Jack also stated that Hall would replace outgoing Managing Director Brian Murphy, “following his decision to become a consultant within the wider Lockton organization.” He thanked Murphy for his “outstanding contribution to Lockton’s success, his development of a loyal and passionate team, and his fantastic work with clients.”
