Zurich Financial Services Group announced the appointment of Angel Serna (45, Spanish and Swiss citizen) as Global Head of Corporate Communications, with effect July 1, 2011. He will be succeeding Pierre Goad who has decided to pursue another opportunity outside the company.
He will be responsible for Zurich’s communications function reporting to CEO Martin Senn.
Serna joined Zurich in 2006 as Head of Media Relations. Prior to joining Zurich, he worked for over 12 years as correspondent and business editor at the Swiss daily newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung. He holds a Ph.D. and master’s degree in economics from the University of Zurich.
