Aon Risk Solutions, the risk management business of Aon Corp., announced the appointment of Andrew Tunnicliffe to the position of chief executive officer, Aon Global Risk Consulting (AGRC), effective October1, 2011.
He has more than 30 years of industry experience in various management and strategic leadership roles, and “is a leading figure in the captives and risk consulting fields” He reports to Stephen Cross, chairman AGRC, and will be responsible for developing the business’ global portfolio and client offering.
Tunnicliffe is returning to Aon following a brief period with Marsh where he led the Marsh Risk Consulting (UK) practice.
Cross noted that the appointment would further strengthen the Aon Global Risk Consulting leadership team and demonstrates Aon’s “commitment to delivering the best to its clients by recruiting the leading risk professionals in the industry.”
