ACE Group has appointed Edward Ler as the new president director for Indonesia’s general insurance business. He will report to Juan Luis Ortega, regional president for ACE in Asia Pacific.
Ler is currently the regional head of personal lines and business insurance. His career in the insurance industry spans a variety of managerial roles covering the Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Europe.
Prior to joining ACE in 2013, he worked in RSA Group as the regional director for underwriting, claims and reinsurance with responsibility across personal lines, commercial and corporate business segments in Asia. Prior to this post, he was the regional commercial lines director for Asia and the Middle East accountable for developing small commercial and middle market strategies and business propositions. He began his career as a regional underwriter based in the Asia Pacific branch of Allianz Reinsurance.
