QBE European Operations, the group’s business insurance specialist, announced the appointment of Tom Johnson as Surety Underwriter within QBE’s Trade Credit and Surety department. He will take up his role in February and will report to Steve Manwaring, Surety Manager.
Johnson joins QBE from Euler Hermes and will be responsible for further developing QBE’s surety portfolio in the UK and Europe.
Trevor Williams, Head of Credit & Surety Europe noted Johnson’s “wealth of experience of financial risk assessment from roles in the credit insurance and invoice finance industries.”
He added that QBE’s “surety portfolio has seen significant growth since 2012, built on the delivery of superior service, flexibility and addressing broker and client needs. By focusing on developing new products and building on these relationships and values, Tom will play a key role in continuing the momentum of this growth.”
