ACE Group has appointed Tim Scott-Young as claims director for its Continental Europe region.
Relocating to Paris, Scott-Young will be responsible for delivering effective and customer-focused claims management across ACE’s 17 country operations in Continental Europe, including its Central and Eastern European businesses, ACE said in a statement.
He will work closely with each country’s claims team and with ACE’s global network of claims client relationship managers and will report directly to Peter Murray, claims director for ACE European Group and Jeff Moghrabi, regional president, Continental Europe.
Scott-Young has extensive insurance and claims experience spanning more than two decades. Before joining ACE, he spent 21 years with AIG in a number of senior claims executive roles covering Australasia, China the Middle East and Africa. Most recently, he was based in Dubai as chief claims officer for the company’s Middle East and Africa region and previously he was regional claims manager for China, based in Shanghai.
Jeff Moghrabi, regional president, Continental Europe, said:
“Our research with European risk managers shows that consistency, timeliness and transparency are the three features they value most in a claims process. That’s why we put claims at the heart of our customer proposition, right from the start of our relationships.
“Tim’s experience of working across a wide range of regions and emerging markets will be of great value as we continue to develop our claims proposition in line with the increasingly global and complex needs of our global accounts and middle market clients.”
