CNA Hardy has appointed Clive Magnus as senior underwriter for energy, reporting to Carl Day, head of energy and marine.
Magnus’ appointment follows a string of senior hires in the energy and marine team, including Carl Day, Matthew Bond and Miles Osorio, CNA Hardy said in a statement.
Magnus joins CNA Hardy after 13 years at Catlin Group, where he held multiple positions, most notably group operations director and energy underwriter. During his time at Catlin, Magnus was responsible for centralizing a number of key underwriting functions as well as setting up international back-office operations in Malaysia.
Commenting on the appointment, Carl Day, head of energy and marine at CNA Hardy, said:
“We are delighted to have Clive join the team. His appointment underpins our intention to bring go-to market leaders into our underwriting team, as we work towards our long-term strategy to build scale and relevance across our chosen sectors.”
With significant renewable energy and power generation portfolios, CNA Hardy says its product offering focuses on upstream and downstream energy.
