PERILS AG has disclosed its third loss estimate for windstorm Elon-Felix which affected Western and Northern Europe between the 8th and the 12th of January 2015.
The revised estimate of the property insurance market loss is €328 million [$362 million]. This compares to the second loss estimate of €335 million [$370 million] which was issued by PERILS on April 8, 2015.
Elon-Felix is also known as Dagmar-Egon in Denmark and Sweden, and as Nina in Norway.
PERILS noted that the subscribers to its database, and in line with the company’s reporting process, the market loss data in this third loss report are available at a higher level of granularity, with losses per CRESTA zone (two-digit postcode level) and per property line of business.
In line with the PERILS loss reporting schedule, the fourth loss estimate for Elon-Felix will be published on 8 January 2016.
