Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has named Natasha Wally as Country Manager for South Africa. She will head up the company’s wholly owned subsidiary, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Advisors South Africa Pty. Ltd.
Wally will be based in Johannesburg and in in charge of implementing the company’s growth strategy in the local commercial insurance market. She is a South African national with 17 years of experience in the insurance sector, and has “an extensive network and understanding of the South African market.”
Tony Buckle, Head of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, indicated that having Wally join the team “signals our commitment to long-term relations with our clients and brokers in South Africa – a focus High Growth Market for us.”
He added that she is “is well-positioned to drive the implementation of our strategy, which is to bring our products and services closer to local market participants and address their specific needs.”
The bulletin also explained that Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Advisors South Africa Pty. Ltd. “is licensed as a Financial Services Provider (FSP) to originate, advise upon and bind direct insurance business in South Africa through an agreement with Guardrisk Insurance Company Ltd., a South African licensed non-life insurer well known in the local market for its strong reputation, financial solidity and best-in-class service.
