London-Based CNA Hardy Appoints Hairsine as Head of Construction

December 1, 2015

CNA Hardy, the London-based specialist commercial insurance provider within the Lloyd’s and company markets, is pleased to announce the appointment of Caroline Hairsine as the new head of Construction.

Hairsine joins CNA Hardy from Zurich Insurance, where she was a senior product underwriter, engineering EMEA. Prior to that, she spent six years as a construction underwriter at SCOR, where she focused predominantly on erection all risk (EAR), mining, oil and gas and power/petrochemical risks.

Hairsine started her underwriting career at Zurich as a construction underwriter, before spending a year at Oxygen Insurance as a construction broker.

“Construction is a core industry specialism for CNA Hardy, and Caroline has joined us at an exciting time in the development of our construction capability. We offer a broad range of products to service this industry segment and will continue to invest to strengthen our offering in this area,” said Patrick Gage, chief underwriting officer at CNA Hardy.

“On the Continent and across the U.K. regions and our Lloyd’s platforms, we will be looking to continue to build our construction capability. Caroline’s knowledge and experience in this sector will assist us in leveraging our expertise to create innovative and specialized products for our customers,” he added.

It is expected that Caroline will join CNA Hardy early next year.
