Marsh has appointed Rob Powell as Claims Advocacy International leader, effective immediately.
Based in London, Powell will report to Michael Poulos, global head of Marsh’s Client Advisory Services.
Powell joined Marsh in 2014 as a managing director in the International Claims Advocacy Practice. Before joining Marsh, he was global chief claims officer at Torus Insurance.
Powell has more than 25 years’ experience in international loss adjusting, including on some of the most significant global catastrophic losses, as well as extensive practice development and management expertise.
In this newly created role, Powell will lead a team of several hundred claims advocates around the world to ensure Marsh clients’ recoveries are maximized and claims are closed in the minimal possible time.
He will also lead this group in the identification of new ways to support its clients through the enhancement of Marsh’s Claims Advocacy value proposition, the broker said in a statement.
