Altitude Risk Partners, the global aviation and space underwriting business, has expanded its general aviation capabilities with the appointment of Martin Audis as senior underwriter.
Audis joins from Starr Aviation where he was a senior underwriter for general aviation business. He has over 15 years’ experience in building and developing general aviation portfolios in the Lloyd’s market. His 25-year insurance career also includes reinsurance recoveries and claims broking within Lloyd’s and the company markets.
Altitude was launched in 2014 as the first underwriting cell to utilize Castel’s club-style MGA formation platform. With capacity from Barbican Syndicate 1955, HDI-Gerling Industrie Versicherung AG and Sompo Japan Insurance Inc on a quota share basis, Altitude underwrites airlines, manufacturing products, general aviation, war and space business.
Commenting on the appointment Richard Power, a founding partner at Altitude, said: “Martin’s addition to the team reflects the focus we have on providing our markets and brokers with access to the proven capabilities and experience needed to develop and underwrite high quality worldwide aerospace risks.”
