Willis Re has appointed Ronnie Carroll as head of Structured Solutions for Europe West and senior UK client advisor. He will report to Alkis Tsimaratos, managing director, head of Europe West.
Carroll joins from Hannover Re where he was a senior underwriter, responsible for its advanced solutions business in the UK and Ireland. He previously held a number of senior underwriting and finance roles across the reinsurance and financial services industries including at General Reinsurance and Swiss Re.
Tsimaratos said that Willis Re has revamped its UK and Ireland teams, combining a deeper strategic advisory approach with transactional expertise, which is what insurance companies are asking for.
“The appointment of Ronnie will further strengthen this effort and I know that his talent, experience and market relationships will add significant value to our client offering,” he added.
