CNA Hardy, a specialist commercial insurance provider for clients within the Lloyd’s and company markets, has appointed Stuart Middleton as CEO of its Luxembourg subsidiary, subject to regulatory approval.
The company set up a subsidiary in Luxembourg as its post-Brexit EU headquarters in order to assure passporting rights for its European business after the UK leaves the European Union.
Reporting to CEO Dave Brosnan, Middleton will be responsible for continuing to build out CNA Hardy’s operations and capabilities across Europe.
“Stuart has significant experience and a proven track record of building profitable businesses and highly effective teams, having held numerous leadership roles, including chief underwriting officer (CUO), Europe at Hiscox, and most recently, CUO and joint managing director of EXIN’s Wholesale Division, based in Barcelona,” said Brosnan.
Middleton joined CNA Hardy as head of Small Business in November 2017.
