Willis Towers Watson announced that Tammy Richardson will take on the role of UK and Ireland leader for life and property & casualty in the company’s Insurance Consulting and Technology business.
Richardson most recently served as leader of the UK P&C team within the same business. Richardson has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, spanning a range of senior leadership roles across management, strategy, mergers and acquisitions, business development, finance and risk management.
Before joining Willis Towers Watson in 2012, Richardson was a senior vice president and managing director at Genworth Financial, leading the firm’s commercial and strategic development team.
As Richardson moves into her new role, she will be succeeded by Stephen Jones. Jones is moving from his current role as UK Head of P&C Pricing, Claims, Product and Underwriting – a position he has held since February 2001 – to become UK P&C leader for WTC’s Insurance Consulting and Technology business.
“I am excited to be taking on this new role at a time when the rate of change for the insurance industry is unlike anything we’ve seen before,” said Richardson. “This brings with it new challenges, but also many new opportunities – particularly in the space of artificial iIntelligence and automation.”
