Aon has appointed Vincent Barrett as regional managing director EMEA for its Captive & Insurance Management business.
In his new role, he will serve as account chair on numerous complex global client accounts and lead the captive business development team across EMEA, said Aon.
Previously, Barrett was managing director, captive and insurance management, for Aon Risk Consulting, a role he assumed in June 2010, according to his LinkedIn profile. Between January 2007 and June 2010, he served as director, business development, for Aon Insurance Managers (Dublin) Ltd., the profile continued.
Prior to his time with Aon, Barrett had several roles at Marsh, including vice president, business development for Marsh Management Services (Dublin) Ltd., said his LinkedIn profile.
“Since joining Aon in 2007 Vince has held a number of senior roles within our group, from leading White Rock to co-leading our solution for Solvency II and development of our ILS value proposition,” said John English, chief executive officer, Captive & Insurance Management, Aon. “His knowledge and expertise places him in the ideal position to lead our EMEA operations.”
Barrett will be based in Dublin and continue to report to John English, working in partnership with Aon’s leadership teams across EMEA.
