To help manage its cyber risk portfolio worldwide, AXA XL has named Elizabeth Benet to the newly-created role of global chief underwriting officer for Cyber.
Benet will help the insurer monitor its cyber risk portfolio and exposure from an aggregated global product view.
Benet joins AXA XL from her own consulting business, Cyber Secure Work in Baltimore, where she assisted insurance company clients in the development and implementation of new insurance products and consultation on the set up of underwriting and claims systems and feedback on reinsurance purchasing. Her insurance career also includes positions as a specialty lines underwriter with Beazley for close to three years, 17 years as a specialty underwriter with General Reinsurance and eight years as an underwriter and product developer with Zurich. An attorney, Benet also has experience in commercial litigation, maritime and international law.
