Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. announced the formation of Gallagher Financial Products, a new specialty Brokerage Services unit devoted to the production and development of a broad array of insurance-based financial products. The unit will be based in Chicago and headed by Managing Directors Patrick Walsh and Robert Benvenuto.
According to the company, Gallagher Financial Products is an evolving platform with a mission to capitalize on a growing host of opportunities arising out of the convergence now occurring within the commercial banking, investment banking, insurance and capital market industries.
Initially Gallagher Financial Products will concentrate on insurance-based credit solutions catered to the structured finance community, such as credit enhancement, structured derivatives, credit default swaps and residual value insurance.
Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., an international insurance brokerage and risk management services firm, is headquartered in Itasca, Illinois, has offices in nine countries and does business in more than 100 countries around the world through a network of correspondent brokers and consultants.
