The Michigan Office of Financial and Insurance Services has posted a report to its web site that lists all enforcement actions taken against companies and individuals licensed by the state of Michigan in the insurance, lending, and securities industries. This enforcement information, as well as license and complaint information, is also available by calling OFIS toll free at 877-999-6442.
Frank M. Fitzgerald, FIS Commissioner, noted that the posting is part of the state’s continuing effort to make public information available through the Internet.
The OFIS enforcement report lists the licensee against whom action was taken, the action taken or violation of the code, dispositions, fines, and penalties. The information on the report is a result of closed files and does not contain any pending investigation information.
