Minnesota-based broker Benfield Blanch, the U.S. division of the U.K’s Benfield Group, announced the appointment of Solange L. Charas as Human Resources Director.
“In her new role, Ms. Charas will be responsible for developing and implementing new human resources strategies and solutions,” stated Rod Fox, CEO of Benfield Blanch. “Of particular value will be Ms. Charas’ experience in aligning compensation programs with corporate strategy.”
She has extensive experience in human resources, consulting and accounting. Most recently she served as the President of Charas Consulting based in New York City. She was Chief Human Resources Officer of Euro RSCG Worldwide, and has also held the post of National Director of People Strategy and Director at the Human Resources Management Practice at Arthur Anderson. “Additionally, she has held senior management positions at Towers & Perrin, Ernst & Young, General Electric, Hay Management Consultants and Cygnet Group,” said the announcement.
“Benfield Blanch is known throughout the industry for the outstanding quality of its intellectual capital,” Charas stated. “My goal is to build on that outstanding reputation.”
