Springfield, Ill.-based Horace Mann Educators Corp. has selected the SunGard PlanningStation Web-based financial planning workstation for its financial advisors.
SunGard PlanningStation is designed to offer single-issue goal-based planning as well as cash flow planning, covering more than twenty financial concepts in a modular architecture.
A browser-based, interactive, real-time financial planning program, SunGard PlanningStation will be deployed on 700 advisor desktops at Horace Mann, providing the firm’s financial advisors with the ability to compare scenarios, perform what-if modeling on client portfolios, and create visually-appealing presentations for their clients in such areas as retirement planning, education funding, IRA analysis, and long term care.
The system will also feature SunGard’s integrated Synapse rule-base engine for advanced product profiling and identifying cross-selling opportunities.
The licensed implementation calls for the custom development of two new modules to help customers understand their auto insurance and property insurance needs, as well as the establishment of a real-time link with Horace Mann’s existing client database solution to provide seamless data integration between the two applications.
