CPCU Society President to Speak at Society of Insurance Research 2005 Spring Workshops

April 12, 2005

The CPCU Society’s 2004-2005 president, Donald Hurzeler will speak at the Society of Insurance Research’s 2005 Spring Workshops in Chicago, Wednesday, May 11.

The day will have two workshops that attendees can choose from: “The Ins and Outs of Competitor Research” and “Transforming Research Studies into Decisions.”

Hurzeler, in his luncheon address to attendees of both workshops, will explain the importance of taking control of your career and using education and professional designations as key assets when standing up to the competition. He’ll share examples from his own 35-year insurance career.

Most recently, Hurzeler wrote a book “Designated for Success,” in which he explains to readers the importance of setting long-term career goals, while learning to deal with setbacks along the way. The book was published by the CPCU Society, and is available for purchase by calling (815) 632-6882; for bulk orders of 10 or more, the book can be purchased through the Society’s Web site at www.cpcusociety.org.
