Strategic Independent Agents Alliance Establishes New Mo.Master Agency

June 8, 2006

Strategic Independent Agents Alliance (SIAA) announces that The Powers Group, Inc. of Clayton, Mo. has established Valley Insurance Agency Alliance as a SIAA Master Agency. Their exclusive territory covers several counties in central and southern Missouri, including the St. Louis area, and several counties in southern Illinois.

The Powers Group was founded in 1991, and has been in business for 15 years providing independent insurance agency products and financial counsel to their clients. In addition to other markets, The Powers Group represents several SIAA Strategic Partner Companies including The Hartford, Travelers, Safeco, Liberty Agency Markets, Zurich and St. Paul Travelers. These markets will be offered to Valley Insurance Agency Alliance’s network agencies.

“I participate in one of the most gratifying businesses in the world,” says Pierce. “In 1991 I founded PowersGroup with a terrific client base and five great carriers, a nearly impossible feat today. The national presence and proven methods of SIAA combined with the assets of our regional agency, allow me an avenue to share resources and mentor where needed. Nothing is more satisfying than sparking the entrepreneurial spirit and providing the roadway for success.”

The chairman of SIAA, Jim Masiello, says, “SIAA welcomes Pierce and Valley Insurance Agency Alliance! We are pleased to have another high quality and successful agency become part of our international network of Master Agencies, as we continue our aggressive growth! Pierce and his staff will focus on building a regional network of Independent Insurance Agencies by offering numerous benefits and advantages not otherwise attainable to those smaller agencies that want to grow while remaining completely independent, and to direct writers, captive agents and life and financial service agents who want to become independent agents.”
