St. Paul-based Minnesota Life Group Insurance recently announced the opening of a sales and service office at 450 N. Brand Blvd. in Glendale, Calif. The company provides web-based group life insurance and dental benefits to Fortune 1000 employers and large public employee groups nationwide.
“Southern California is one of our most important markets,” said Lisa Behrman, manager of sales, Western Region, Minnesota Life Group Insurance. “Putting offices close to large employer clients and the intermediaries who serve them has been a key element of our national growth.”
Behrman is joined in the California office by senior client relationship advisor Marnie Vittetoe, who will be the primary account manager for Minnesota Life clients in Southern California. The Glendale office is one of four sales and service offices that Minnesota Life opened this year. The others are in New York, Chicago, and West Virginia.
Minnesota Life identifies itsel as one of the fastest-growing group life insurers in the US, rising from sixteenth largest in 1997 to sixth in 2004, according to information gathered by A.M. Best Company.
