Only 4 Homes Insured in North Dakota Area Hit by Tornado

The number of homes found damaged or destroyed in tornado-ravaged Rolette County in North Dakota continues to rise.

The state Department of Emergency Services says 12 homes have been destroyed and 18 have been damaged in Rolla from the July 7 tornado.

The agency says 70 buildings were damaged and seven were destroyed in the Belcourt area.

The agency says 35 homes that were damaged or destroyed in the Belcourt area were not insured. Only four homes in the Belcourt area that were damaged from the storm were insured.
