Westfield Insurance recently invited 16 customers representing Westfield’s various divisions, including personal lines, small business accounts, AgriBusiness and commercial lines mid-market accounts to join their customer council. The 2008 customer council was launched when Westfield hosted a two-day event for council members and their respective insurance agents. Council members were selected based on their ability to effectively manage risk and Westfield’s desire to leverage this knowledge in developing improved insurance programs for all of their customers.
“Bringing customers and their respective producer to Westfield aligns perfectly with our strategy of being a relationship company who sees value in knowing our customer,” said Westfield Senior Executive Jay DePasquale, who coordinates and oversees the initiative. “Knowing our customers and understanding their needs is one way we can design products and services that they will want to buy and that our agents will be able to sell.”
Westfield Insurance, a member of Westfield Group, provides commercial and personal insurance in 18 states and surety services to customers in 28 states. Westfield identifies itself as one of the nation’s 50 largest property and casualty insurance groups, represented by a network of more than 1,200 independent insurance agencies.
