Insurance broker and risk adviser Marsh has appointed John Johnson as Construction Practice leader for its Midwest West Partnership.
In his new role, Johnson is responsible for new business growth and client service for the construction industry in the West Partnership, which includes offices in Chicago, Minneapolis and Milwaukee.
Johnson brings more than 26 years of construction risk management experience to Marsh. He joins from Willis, where he led the Chicago Construction Practice, the firm’s largest construction practice in the Midwest. Prior to Willis, Johnson spent 10 years as a surety executive and underwriter at Harford Insurance and USF&G Insurance Co.
He will be based in Marsh’s Chicago office and will report to Greg Stanbury, Midwest Zone leader and West Partnership leader.
Marsh’s U.S. Construction Practice provides construction risk management solutions to all sectors of the construction industry, delivering brokerage capabilities, project risk consulting, safety and loss control expertise, crisis management, claims advocacy, project advisory services, and dispute resolution services.
