Three years after insurance agent Janna Kelly went missing, friends are hoping a $50,000 reward will help solve the mystery of who abducted and ultimately killed the 60-year-old Grand Rapids, Michigan woman.
Kelly last was seen alive Dec. 4, 2007, when she left the insurance agency she co-owned, Burr and Co., in Grand Rapids.
The Grand Rapids Press said her purse and wallet were found at a car wash and her car was recovered not far from Ottawa Hills High School in the days after the disappearance.
It wasn’t until March 2008 that Kelly’s body was discovered by a land surveyor in a wooded area in Ottawa County.
Authorities still aren’t discussing how Kelly died.
A $50,000 reward through the Grand Rapids crime-stopper program, Silent Observer, remains available for details that lead to an arrest and conviction. The program solicits anonymous reports.
