A North Dakota man who says he slipped and fell on ice outside a post office in Wilton is suing the government for half a million dollars.
Paul Patrick says the post office was negligent for not maintaining the sidewalk. He says the March 25, 2009, spill left him with permanent damage to his body.
Patrick is asking for $500,700.
The government says Patrick’s alleged fall did not occur on property that was owned, occupied or controlled by the United States, and that the lawsuit should dismissed.
