The Marine insurance operation of XL Group plc has expanded its regional underwriting capabilities in Chicago, adding Pete Shepeck, Brian Stockton and Jeannine Liebig to its team.
Shepeck joins XL as regional vice president, North America Marine. Most recently with Alterra Insurance, Shepeck’s 35-plus year marine insurance career also includes regional management and underwriting positions with St. Paul and Travelers Insurance.
Stockton joins the team as executive underwriter from The Hartford Insurance Group where, as senior marine sales underwriter, he managed a significant book of inland marine, ocean marine and property business. Stockton also brings broker experience, having worked for the Lockton Cos. as an account manager.
Liebig brings more than 20 years of marine underwriting support experience to the team as an underwriting assistant. She joins XL from Navigators Management Co. Her career also includes underwriting support positions with Travelers, Fireman’s Fund and William H. McGee & Co., all based in Chicago.
