Ohio State University has announced a 10-year, $17.1 million sponsorship agreement with Nationwide Insurance.
The university says the expanded partnership will provide discounts for faculty, staff, students and alumni.
Other benefits for the university include 40 internships every year for OSU students, a five-year extension of Nationwide’s current commitment to underwrite an OSU program called the Risk Institute, and a commitment to create an investment fund to support a variety of programs.
Nationwide Insurance President Mark Pizzi said the partnership builds on the company’s “collective impact on the community.”
OSU said the partnership with the Columbus-based insurance giant formalizes a 30-year relationship.
