The IMA Financial Group Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiary, IMA Inc., announced a merger with Corporate Insurance Group Inc. (CIG), located in Overland Park, Kan.
CIG President George M. “Mac” Humphries III, will join IMA post-merger.
CIG is a privately held insurance agency with an emphasis on the production, servicing and marketing of mid-market and large commercial property and casualty insurance for Midwest-based businesses.
Clients of CIG encompass the healthcare, governmental and transportation industries, and include a multi-state long-term care facilities organization, and also state and local government entities.
Prior to starting CIG, Humphries spent more than 18 years in the property and casualty insurance industry, including being the minority owner of two regional insurance brokers.
