Church Mutual Insurance Co., based in Merrill, Wis., announced Laura J. Hughes will join the company as chief marketing officer effective July 6, 2015, and report directly to CEO Michael Ravn.

With more than 20 years of experience and an emphasis on the financial services industry, Hughes’ expertise lies in successfully building world-class marketing organizations and brands — leveraging marketing capabilities to deliver profitable growth.
Prior to joining Church Mutual, Hughes led Digital Marketing for the Commercial Banking Division of JPMorgan Chase & Co. and served as the vice president of National Marketing for the Federal Reserve System, the Central Bank of the United States.
Hughes replaces former Marketing Vice President Pat Moreland, who retired earlier this year.
Church Mutual Insurance Co., founded in 1897, offers specialized insurance for religious organizations of all denominations.
