Aussicker Named President at Ohio’s Thorn Valley Safety

Thorn Valley Safety, a Dayton, Ohio-based specialist in commercial auto risk control and claims advocacy, has appointed Mark Aussicker as president.

Aussicker’s focus will be to challenge status quo thinking, develop and strengthen customer partnerships and to continually improve quality and product offerings across the organization.

Thorn Valley’s technology for the commercial auto industry provides actionable insights into driving behaviors such as speeding, phone usage (distracted driving), hard braking, acceleration and cornering. This data enables fleet managers to identify and proactively address poor driving habits which ultimately leads to a safer fleet, fewer and less severe accidents, improved productivity and profitability and stronger client partnerships.

“With commercial auto running at combined ratio north of 110%, there is significant opportunity for us to assist our insurance carrier, managing general agent, broker and individual insured partners,” Aussicker said in the company’s announcement.

Aussicker has more than 30 years of risk management and claims experience at the carrier, agency and third party administrator levels.
