Shepherd Insurance announced the appointment of Collin Hill as the company’s first-ever chief information officer (CIO), a new leadership role created to support Shepherd’s continued growth and commitment to operational excellence.
Hill brings more than two decades of technology and leadership experience spanning the private sector, higher education, and government, advancing into IT leadership roles before serving as a virtual CIO for small and mid-sized businesses. Most recently, Hill served as chief information officer and director of the Information Services Agency for the City of Indianapolis and Marion County, where he led technology strategy and operations for one of Indiana’s largest and most complex organizations.
The addition of a chief information officer reflects Shepherd’s sustained growth and commitment to investing in the infrastructure needed to support the company’s future. As the company continues to expand, the role will help ensure technology, data, and business processes evolve alongside the organization’s needs.
As CIO, Hill will be based at Shepherd’s headquarters in Carmel, Indiana, where he will lead Shepherd’s technology strategy, focusing on advancing technology capabilities, enhancing the use of data, and streamlining processes across the business.
